Valentine’s Day gifts can be hard to pick out, especially if you want to be conscientious about your partner’s oral health. A box of chocolates is an easy, but by using a little bit of creativity you could potentially find something they would enjoy even more, and that may be a little better for them.

That said, thinking of something to get your partner that won’t cause cavities can be a challenge. If you need some ideas, here are a few you can try.

Fruit & Dark Chocolate

The first thing that’s worth noting is that sweets aren’t necessarily off the table. There are a few that can potentially be a little less damaging for your partner’s teeth. Fruit, for example, can be a delicious and thoughtful gift. Edible arrangements are nice, but even just finding a really nice, well packaged version of your partner’s favorite fruit can be a great gift.

If your partner loves chocolate, dark chocolate also has a much lower sugar content and can be washed away much more quickly than gummy candies with all kinds of fillings.

Spa Day

A trip to the spa is a great way to unwind, and makes a great day out for couples. While a box of chocolate can last a little while, a spa provides hours of relaxation, and days afterward of feeling rejuvenated.

Spas tend to offer all kinds of deals and special packages around Valentine’s Day, which means you can treat yourself for much less money than you could normally. A trip for two is also a sneaky way to give yourself a gift as well.

Flowers

This one is a classic, and one that you might have intended on getting for your partner anyway. However, instead of grabbing a last-minute bouquet from the supermarket, you might look for a local florist and see if you can’t find one that’ll make an impact. Flowers also come with traditional meanings, so if you find a knowledgeable florist you could potentially put together a bouquet with something behind it.

As you can see, it’s very possible to find something that will get your partner excited and protect their oral health. If anything, your partner will appreciate the thought you put in.
